Suspending a credential

Overview

Suspending a credential temporarily invalidates it without deleting it. You can revalidate it later, either manually or by setting an automatic revalidation date.

Prerequisites

  • You have issued a credential that supports suspension
note

If the suspend option is not available, the credential's schema may not have suspension enabled. This is set when choosing a revocation method during schema creation.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the issued credential

  • Click "Issuer" in the left sidebar
  • Find the credential you want to suspend in the list
  1. Suspend the credential

  • Click the "..." three dots in the Actions column
  • Click "Suspend"
  • Choose either "Indefinite" or specify a date and time for revalidation → "Confirm"

Next steps

To restore access, you can revalidate the credential by clicking "..." → "Revalidate" → "Confirm".

info

When suspending an mdoc credential, the suspension will not take effect until the current Mobile Security Object (MSO) expires. The credential will be valid in wallets until the next MSO refresh cycle.
